I've realized something about myself lately: I'm a big Chromebook guy. I don't mean I'm a fan of Chromebooks (I clearly am and have been for some time); instead, I mean I've grown to love and appreciate a larger screen on my ChromeOS devices. Maybe it's me getting older; maybe it's me being a bit … [Read more...] about I’m a big Chromebook guy now, and Samsung’s new Galaxy Chromebook Plus may just be perfect

I’m tough on Apple, but if the new AirPods 4 get open-ear ANC right, I’ll be blown away
I give Apple a lot of crap. As a Chromebook fan and Google enthusiast, it's sort of my job, right? As opposed as I am to a lot of their general ethos, I do tip my cap to Apple when it makes sense, and their latest announcement of the AirPods 4 coming with an ANC (active noise cancellation) option … [Read more...] about I’m tough on Apple, but if the new AirPods 4 get open-ear ANC right, I’ll be blown away
Pixel 9a rumored to get the same Tensor G4 as Pixel 9 Pro, but with a catch
Rumor has it that the likely Pixel 9a will come rocking the same Tensor G4 as its bigger, badder siblings. Assuming that much is true, we're looking at some decent power under the hood and some very competent AI abilities to boot. That all sounds great, and if my time with the latest, greatest from … [Read more...] about Pixel 9a rumored to get the same Tensor G4 as Pixel 9 Pro, but with a catch
My time with the Pixel 9 Pro XL has me very excited for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold
I've already talked at length about my early feelings for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Between the build quality, the screen, the cameras, the battery life, the performance, and the video quality, I'm once again a big fan of Pixel. It's been a few years since I've been able to say that, and I'm happily back … [Read more...] about My time with the Pixel 9 Pro XL has me very excited for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold
Pixel 9 Pro Fold gets into customer’s hands a full week before launch
While the reception of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL has been quite good (immensely good from my perspective), there's still some serious anticipation building for the full release of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold on September 4th: only a little over a week away. However, for one lucky … [Read more...] about Pixel 9 Pro Fold gets into customer’s hands a full week before launch
Exclusive: New Lenovo Chromebook Duet specs and images leak
Here in the Chromebook world, we don't usually get a lot of splash over from leak culture. Sure, we find clues here and there about upcoming devices, learn about their potential specs, and get a bit of insight on what a device might bring to the table via the Chromium Gerrit; but outright leaks … [Read more...] about Exclusive: New Lenovo Chromebook Duet specs and images leak
Pixel 9 Pro Fold is available again after being completely out of stock
Google's second stab at a foldable phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, is apparently flying off of virtual shelves already at the Google Store just days after its release. A few days ago, 9to5 Google reported that all models were listed as out of stock, but as of this morning, at least one model/color is … [Read more...] about Pixel 9 Pro Fold is available again after being completely out of stock
One of Pixel 9’s biggest upgrades didn’t get mentioned on stage
Over the years, it's no secret that Google's Tensor-powered Pixel phones have faced criticism for their modem performance. Google's phones have been plagued by unreliable connectivity and battery drain issues since making the move to Tensor. However, as now confirmed by Android Authority, the Pixel … [Read more...] about One of Pixel 9’s biggest upgrades didn’t get mentioned on stage
Pixel Watch 3 trade-in offers are better than expected
The Pixel Watch 3 is still a few weeks from hitting store shelves, but there are plenty of users already making plans to get their hands on Google's latest watch when it arrives on September 10th. Oddly, it seems the new Lenovo Duet won’t be Chromebook Plus
In all my excitement yesterday posting about the new, now-official Lenovo Chromebook Duet with MediaTek's Kompanio 838 inside, I didn't even register the fact that "Plus" wasn't included in the naming scheme. While definitely not a necessity, the fact that this new tablet won't be a Plus-branded … [Read more...] about Oddly, it seems the new Lenovo Duet won’t be Chromebook Plus
It’s official: a new Lenovo Chromebook Duet is coming soon
Yep, you are reading that right! After months of heavy speculation and detective work, the new Chromebook tablet from Lenovo is now out in the open for all to see. Sure, it's still a tad bit hidden and only viewable if you know where to look (we got a heads-up from a reader), but the name of it is … [Read more...] about It’s official: a new Lenovo Chromebook Duet is coming soon
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus will likely come in two configurations
As we inch ever closer to fall, the anticipation for new Chromebooks only continues to grow. Sure, we got new hardware in the spring at Google's Chromebook event in New York, but as we've seen, those devices were largely iterative in nature. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing iteration in the … [Read more...] about Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus will likely come in two configurations
