UPDATE: 9/28/2026 – With less than a week remaining until the October 4 retail launch, Best Buy’s free Pixel Buds 2a pre-order bundle is still active across all launch models, including the Acer Googlebook 14, Lenovo Googlebook 15, and Dell XPS. If you plan to pick one up, locking in your pre-order before launch day is the only way to claim the $129 bonus.
How the deal works
The promotion is about as straightforward as it gets. You don’t need to hunt down promo codes or jump through rebate hoops:
- Automatic Cart Inclusion: Add any eligible Googlebook to your cart on Best Buy’s site, and a pair of Pixel Buds 2a will be added automatically at $0.00.
- The Colorway: The free earbuds are locked to the Hazel colorway.
- The Timeline: The offer runs throughout the pre-order window leading up to official in-store availability on October 4, 2026.
Why the Pixel Buds 2a are a great pairing
At a retail price of $129, the Pixel Buds 2a aren’t throwaway throw-ins. They feature Google’s Tensor A1 chip, Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal 1.5, twist-to-adjust stabilizers for a secure fit, and seamless Fast Pair integration across the Google hardware ecosystem.
Because Googlebook OS is built on a full Android stack, audio switching, Find Hub tracking, and hands-free Gemini interactions work natively between your phone, earbuds, and new laptop right out of the box.
Stacking on top of Google’s day-one perks
What makes this deal especially sweet is that it stacks directly on top of the already generous software bundle Google is throwing into every retail box:
- 12 months of Google AI Pro (bringing 5TB of cloud storage and full Gemini Advanced access, a $240 value)
- 3 months of YouTube Premium, Adobe Photoshop, and CapCut
- 1 year of NVIDIA GeForce NOW priority cloud gaming
- Up to 10 years of guaranteed OS updates
Whether you’re leaning toward the versatile $899 Acer Googlebook 14 convertible, the featherweight ASUS Googlebook 14, or the big-screen Lenovo Googlebook 15, getting a $129 set of wireless ANC earbuds tossed into the box for zero dollars makes an already exciting launch that much better. Don’t miss out on the pre-order window!
