The Acer Googlebook 14 is official: the only 360° convertible in the lineup starts at $899

As a part of Google’s landmark Googlebook hardware launch, Acer has officially pulled back the curtain on the Acer Googlebook 14 (GP714-91N).

While we already all the launch-day devices in our Googlebook hardware fleet overview and broke down the software architecture in our deeper dive on Googlebook OS, Acer’s entry in this new space occupies a truly unique position in the group. Out of all five launch partners, Acer is delivering the only 360-degree convertible of the bunch, while simultaneously establishing the most accessible entry price in the ecosystem at $899.

Measuring just 13.9mm (0.55 inches) thin and tipping the scales at a featherweight 1.14 kg (2.51 pounds), Acer managed to pack full 2-in-1 versatility into an ultra-rigid aluminum-magnesium chassis without cutting corners on performance or display tech.

A versatile 4-mode hinge and 3K OLED canvas

For users who love the flexibility of flipping their laptop around for presentations or folding it back flat for sketching, Acer’s custom 360-degree hinges are rated to withstand 20,000 open-and-close cycles. That hinge enables four distinct usage postures: standard clamshell for heavy typing, tent mode for tight tray tables, stand mode for media consumption, and tablet mode for browsing or handwritten notes. The centerpiece of that convertible experience is a gorgeous visual setup:

• Display: 14-inch 16:10 WQXGA+ 3K (2880 x 1800) OLED multitouch display.
• Brightness & Color: 500 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black, and Eyesafe 2.0 certification.
• Glass Protection: Durable Corning Gorilla Glass covering the panel to guard against everyday scratches and scuffs.
• Active Stylus Support: Full compatibility with USI 2.0 styluses, making it an ideal digital notebook when paired with creative tools.

Complementing the display are dual upward-facing Acer Ultra Boost stereo speakers tuned with DTS Audio, paired with a triple digital microphone array and an upgraded 5MP webcam featuring temporal noise reduction and a physical privacy shutter switch.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 silicon and Comfort Touch chassis

Under the hood, the Acer Googlebook 14 runs on Intel’s new Panther Lake platform, configurable with either the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 or the top-tier Intel Core Ultra 7 355.

Both chips feature integrated Intel Graphics alongside an Intel AI Boost NPU pushing up to 50 TOPS of dedicated inferencing power. That local NPU headroom ensures system features like Magic Pointer, Rambler, and proactive Gemini cues execute quickly and quietly without taxing the CPU or draining the battery. The rest of the spec sheet is just as stout:

• Memory & Storage: Up to 32GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM (7467 MT/s) paired with up to 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe solid-state storage
• Battery & Charging: A 71Wh 4-cell battery rated for up to 16 hours of web browsing and 14 hours of local video playback, supported by fast-charging tech that juices the battery to 50% in 30 minutes and 80% in just one hour
• Ergonomics & Materials: Finished in a striking “Elemental Blue” colorway, Acer applied an Acer Comfort Touch soft-touch treatment to the palm rest and bottom cover for a silky, ergonomic grip. The glass trackpad is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass and is fully moisture-resistant, flanked by a backlit keyboard and a power-button biometric fingerprint scanner backed by the Google Titan C security chip

Comprehensive Type-C connectivity and sustainability

Acer did not skimp on physical or wireless I/O despite the tapered 13.9mm frame:

• 1 x Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C port (supporting up to 40 Gbps data transfers, DisplayPort, and 100W Power Delivery)
• 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports (10 Gbps, DisplayPort, and Power Delivery, positioned on either side for flexible charging)
• 1 x 3.5mm combo audio jack
• Intel Wi-Fi 7 (BE211) and Bluetooth 6.0

Acer also leaned heavily into sustainable engineering, constructing the machine with 49% circular materials (blending recycled aluminum, magnesium, and post-consumer plastics) along with 99% plastic-free, sustainably sourced packaging. The chassis features permanent laser-etched compliance markings to eliminate adhesive label waste, earning it both ENERGY STAR 9.0 certification and EPEAT Gold with Climate+ registration.

Pricing and availability

The Acer Googlebook 14 (GP714-91N) will be available in North America starting in October 2026 with an MSRP beginning at $899. It will also arrive in EMEA markets in October starting at €1,199, followed by Australia in November at AUD $2,599.

Like the rest of the launch fleet, every retail unit includes 12 months of Google AI Pro (bringing 5TB of cloud storage and Gemini Advanced), 3 months of YouTube Premium, Adobe Photoshop, and CapCut, a full year of NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Google’s commitment of up to 10 years of continuous OS updates.
