The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is official: 15.3-inch OLED, Face Unlock, and lightweight frame

As a big part of Google’s landmark hardware showcase last week in New York City, Lenovo has officially taken the wraps off the Lenovo Googlebook 15.

While we have already published our broad Googlebook hardware fleet overview and examined the software architecture in our deeper dive on Googlebook OS, this machine commands its own spotlight. In a launch lineup dominated by 13-inch and 14-inch form factors, Lenovo stepped forward to deliver the only large-screen canvas in the initial group.

What was most jarring when picking it up off the demo table in NYC, however, was the weight. 15-inch laptops typically carry some noticeable heft, but Lenovo built this machine from an advanced blend of magnesium alloy and carbon fiber, keeping the total weight down to a ridiculous 2.84 pounds (1.29 kg). That means this spacious 15.3-inch machine is almost as light as some of the 14-inch competitors in the room.

If you rely on split-screen multitasking or spend hours working in complex spreadsheets, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 offers the most expansive visual real estate of any launch device:

Intel Panther Lake performance and Google Facial Authentication

Under the hood, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 runs on Intel’s brand-new Series 3 Panther Lake platform, powered by the Intel Core Ultra 3 processor paired with an NPU pushing over 45 TOPS of on-device performance.

That local AI horsepower drives system features like Magic Pointer, Rambler, and proactive Gemini suggestions quietly without relying on continuous cloud round-trips. The rest of the internal performance package includes:

• Memory & Storage: Baseline configurations starting at 16GB of high-speed RAM (with up to 32GB available) paired with 256GB+ of fast SSD storage
• Battery Endurance: Rated for up to 14 hours of video playback and 16 hours of web browsing
• Dual Biometrics: Lenovo did not stop at a fingerprint sensor; they included dedicated Face recognition via the front camera IR setup alongside the fingerprint reader, enabling instant, zero-touch logins the moment you lift the lid

The Lenovo Googlebook 15 starts at an MSRP of $1,299, with pre-orders officially live starting today at Lenovo.com and Best Buy.
