Amidst the chaos that is “Meltdown” and “Spectre,” Google has released an official statement about the status of the vulnerability as it pertains to their many products and platforms. Thankfully, the majority of Chromebook users are already protected by steps implemented in version 63 of Chrome OS. A number of readers have inquired here and across the […]

We reported on pinch zoom being worked on for four Chromebooks back in August: The 2015 Chromebook Pixel, Samsung Chromebook Pro, Plus, and the Pixelbook (known as ‘Eve’ at the time). Since that time, we’ve not really had much movement on this feature and, to be honest, somewhat forgot about it. From time to time, […]
Arguably the most-requested comparison we’ve ever had is between the Samsung Chromebook Pro and the newly-released Pixelbook. For good reason, these two devices make a very, very interesting comparison. With their similar screens, fast internals and dedicated pens, a comparison video was not only likely; it was inevitable.
Well, it’s time for me to eat a little crow. When Samsung announced that they would be discounting the Samsung Chromebook Pro and Plus $100 for Black Friday I really thought they would be the only place to get the dynamic duo this cheap.
Now that Google’s Pixelbook is making its rounds in the hands of users everywhere, we’re left wondering “what’s next for the world of Chrome OS?” We now know there is a more powerful Samsung Chromebook Pro soon to come and ASUS has finally launched another configuration of my personal favorite, the Flip C302.
According to a very reliable inside source, we’ve learned that highly-upgraded versions of two popular Chromebooks are coming. There are some caveats that apply, but these devices most certainly exist and could see the light of day in the not-too-distant future.
Over the weekend, we reported on the possibility of Samsung releasing an upgraded version of the popular Chromebook Pro. In the article, we shared some benchmark scores for a device powered by an Intel Skylake Core m7 processor. Along with some beefed up RAM and storage, the yet-to-be-released Chromebook was speculative at best. This evening […]
The Samsung Chromebook Pro, for all intents and purposes, is still the best Chromebook of 2017. Some would say the best to date but we’ll leave that argument for another day. (I stand by my choice of the ASUS C302 but that’s just me) The Pro’s little brother, the Samsung Chromebook Plus, has been consistently […]
Though most Chromebooks received an update to Chrome OS 59 all the way back on June 9th, there were a few left out of the first wave of updates. The Samsung Chromebook Pro was one of them. As it is my daily driver, I’ve been on the lookout for this update pretty regularly. In all […]
Icons have become a much sought after commodity with the rise of social media. More and more, the need for a simple icon to convey an idea is all your post needs to really grab attention. Or perhaps you just want to add a fun overlay to an image to post on a personal feed. […]
If you’ve done any research on the Samsung Chromebook Pro in preparation for a possible purchase, you’ve likely seen the sparse accounts of the device overheating. Perhaps you’ve even dismissed the Pro outright on account of this. Well, we wanted to set the record straight on this device that, as I’ve plainly expressed, is perhaps […]
Back in early June, we received our Samsung Chromebook Pro review unit. After having spent a month with the pre-production model back in February, I wanted to make sure and give this updated model a very thorough review period. You see, as we’ve posited in the past, the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro are very […]
