If this sounds a bit like Déjà vu, it is.
Well, kind of.
If you are coming to this article without a whole lot of the history we’ve been compiling on these devices for just about a year, I’ll give you the skinny. (Conversely, you can go here and read from the beginning of the Chromebook Pro – AKA ‘Kevin’ – journey.)
The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro have been in development for almost a year and began as devices meant for Android Apps on Chromebooks.
Their introduction at CES this year began a 6 month journey to this point where both devices are now in full production.
That part is important mainly because we were given a Chromebook Pro review unit by Samsung back in February that was pre-production: and it showed.
Compared with the Plus back then, the $100 upcharge for the Pro seemed a little silly. Now, however, we have a production model review unit in the office and I’ve spent a full week with it. From work, to media consumption, games to web browsing, this device is very good overall.
So we wanted to put it up against the Plus now that it has, shall we say, fully matured.
Check out the video and let us know your thought. Sorry in advance for the length, but we wanted to cover a lot of things that we’ve been asked in the past week to give all of you more information for your purchasing decisions.
Hope you enjoy!
