Risk of Rain 2 is now available on Stadia for hours of co-op madness

At long last, Risk of Rain 2 is available on Stadia. This entry to the series is a 3D sequel to Risk of Rain – a 2D roguelike that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The premise of the game is that you must survive an onslaught of alien enemies on foreign planets with up to four friends. The game can also be played solo. You can pick from 10 unique characters and collect over 100 items which will transform the gameplay entirely. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve killed on this game for PC. Being able to play it with no download and on any screen guarantees that I’ll be putting more time in here.

The Stadia version of the game features a fourth level called Sundered Grove and is currently exclusive to Google’s platform, though it will be coming to others soon.

Being the first players to experience Sundered Grove is going to be amazing for everyone on Stadia! This is our newest map and also one of the most mysterious in design. Mazes of roots and overgrown fungus have twisted the landscape, leaving only ruins. Battle all the way from the lofty canopy to the deep underground!

Releasing just two days ago, you can pick it up for $19.99 on the Stadia Store. This is simply a 20% discount as a part of the launch celebration and will only last until October 9th. After that point, developer Hopoo Games will raise it back up to its intended price of $24.99.

Hopoo Games is interested in Stadia’s ability to pull fans into their games instantly across any device. This is what motivated them to partner with Google to bring the popular shooter to Stadia fans!
