Outcasters and Submerged: Hidden Depths are now free on Stadia Pro because 6 games weren’t enough

December 3, 2020 By Michael Perrigo Leave a Comment

Stadia ran a Livestream today where they showed off the platform’s new Crowd Choice and Crowd Play features which would allow the viewing audience to vote on what the player should do in-game and even join their session straight from the Youtube video! During the event, they also slipped in several big announcements – namely that the long-awaited Stadia Games and Entertainment title Outcasters was launching immediately on the Stadia store.

Joining it, Submerged: Hidden Depths, a sequel to Submerged from 2015, also dropped in the store, and get this – they’re both Pro titles. Wait, what? Didn’t we just get six Pro games two days ago? Yup – Stadia Pro subscribers now have eight free games to play for the month of December! They’re really layering it on thick these past few months and making Stadia pretty irresistable.

Stick around because after we take a look at these two new titles, we’re going to sneak in a bunch of other Stadia news. There’s so much happening right now with the service that it’s almost impossible to keep up! Okay, let’s get started.

Outcasters

The colorful, chaotic, competitive shooter from Stadia Games and Entertainment with a seriously awesome Twitter personality took everyone by surprise today by launching for free without giving hint to a release date or a price before the live stream.

Curve your shots and be the last player standing in this vibrant and frenetic, fast-paced eight-player combat game that tests your speed and creativity. Outcasters, Only on Stadia.

Submerged: Hidden Depths

Mysterious villages cling to the crumbling tips of skyscrapers, remnants of the drowned city below. Enigmatic creatures ride the wake as your boat breaks the waves, while deep below, lost treasures sparkle amongst the growing darkness. Submerged: Hidden Depths is a relaxing, third-person exploration game set in a hauntingly beautiful world of water and ruins. Play as siblings – one determined to use her curse for good, the other determined to not let it destroy them. Navigate the tranquil blue waters and pounding whitecaps as you scour the city ruins for the seeds of its salvation.

Stadia is Making Waves

In other news, Super Bomberman R is Stadia’s second completely free to play game – no Pro subscription required. Bomberman joins Destiny 2, which was just made 100% free to play two weeks ago! PHOGS, El Hijo, and Immortals: Fenyx Rising also came out today on the Stadia Store as well. Lastly, The Elder Scrolls Online is free to play for Pro subscribers starting today, December 3, until December 9 as a part of Free Play Days. If you’re a Chromebook owner, don’t forget that you can snag 3 months of Stadia Pro as a Chromebook perk, in addition to the other fun and creative additions added recently.
