Google Stadia now has over 200 games, and the company is really trying to draw attention to this milestone. In a new promotion that spans the next week and ends on October 10, 2021, gamers who purchase any title that costs $59.99 USD or more will receive a free Stadia Premiere Edition bundle which includes a Chromecast Ultra, and a white Stadia controller. For those of you who took notice, yes – that’s a $59.99 value, so you’re basically getting your money back!
The offer is good so far as supplies last, which means it could run dry before the 10th, so you should act now if there’s anything you’ve been wanting to try on Google’s game streaming platform. In a surprise twist, and most definitely an intentional one, Pro subscribers woke up this morning to an extra title in their subscription – Mafia III. So, if you see that on the store and are considering purchasing it in order to get the bundle, you’re probably better off signing up for Stadia Pro to grab it and then buying a different game instead.
In order to claim your free Premiere Edition bundle post-purchase of your game, you’ll need to look for an email from Stadia with a redemption code. Once you’ve got it, you can use it all the way up until November 20, 2021, before it expires. Again, this too is valid so long as supplies lasts.
Those who live in the United States, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria, and Switzerland can walk away with free hardware to pair with their game, but as you’ll see if you check out the official Stadia Twitter account, Canadian fans have once again been left out in the cold.
Some new releases you may consider spending the sixty bucks on include Life is Strange: True Colors, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint Deluxe Edition, while some great existing picks would be Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or Zombie Army 4: Dead War Deluxe Edition. If you’re excited about FAR CRY 6, you can pre-order it now and still get the bundle!
Google is no stranger to basically hurling bundles at people with a t-shirt cannon, but it’s awesome to see another opportunity to get a controller for those who are currently stuck using the new phone link feature with their phones to play games. Anyways, what are you waiting for? Click the blue button below to get started – happy gaming!
