Well, that didn’t last long. Just a few days ago, I was thrilled to announce that my favorite Chromebook ever made, the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14, was finally back in stock and available for purchase directly from Lenovo’s website. It was great news for everyone who has been patiently waiting to get their hands on this incredible device from the source.

Unfortunately, if you headed over to Lenovo’s site in the last day or so and were met with an “out of stock” message, you’re not alone. In a frustratingly quick turnaround, it appears the device has already sold out once again.

Low inventory or massive popularity?

This has become a strange and recurring situation. On one hand, it could be a testament to the massive popularity of this Chromebook. It is, after all, the best device we’ve ever used, so it stands to reason that demand would be incredibly high.

On the other hand, it could also be an issue of low inventory, as Lenovo may only be releasing very small batches of stock to its own online store. It’s a puzzling situation, especially since other retailers like Best Buy seem to have a far more consistent supply. Whatever the reason, the result is the same: one of the best Chromebooks you can buy is, once again, unavailable directly from its maker.
