It’s not often I get to say this, but after spending over a month with it as my primary, do-everything device, I can continue to say the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is the best Chromebook ever made. It’s a device that gets nearly everything right, and because of that, it’s been incredibly difficult to find in stock at Lenovo’s website since its launch.
For everyone who has been patiently waiting to buy this excellent Chromebook from the source, I have some great news to start the week: the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is finally back in stock and available for purchase directly from Lenovo’s website.
A quick recap of what makes it the best
If you missed my full review, the short version is that this Chromebook is the complete package. It’s the first device I’ve used in a very long time that has no major compromises or caveats.
The real star of the show is the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor. It’s an absolute beast that delivers the fastest performance we’ve ever benchmarked in a Chromebook, all while being completely fanless and delivering on its incredible, multi-day battery life claims. But the excellence doesn’t stop there. It’s a device where every part of the experience feels well-crafted, refined, and enjoyable, and that includes:
- A stunning 14-inch 16:10 OLED display that makes everything look amazing.
- A fantastic, backlit keyboard and large glass trackpad with some serious Pixelbook Go vibes.
- The first Chromebook with Dolby Atmos and an impressive, loud, and full quad-speaker setup.
- A solid, premium, and lightweight 2.5-pound build that’s a joy to carry.
- A great 5MP camera and a reliable fingerprint scanner.
The one to get
Lenovo offers a couple of configurations, but the one I can easily recommend is the upgraded $749 model. For just $100 more than the base model (which is tough to find right now, anyway), you get the addition of a touchscreen, double the storage at 256GB, and a bump up to 16GB of RAM. It’s an upgrade that is absolutely worth it if you can swing it.
