From a unique adventure based on New Caledonia where a girl possesses wildlife and inanimate objects to Vin Diesel fighting dinosaurs – yes, I just said that – The 2020 Game Awards featured several announcements to whet Stadia fan’s appetites for the new year. The platform is really showing its chops with the new Cyberpunk 2077 release running nearly as smooth as butter on it compared to current-gen consoles and these new titles should further cement Google’s efforts and show their dedication in the cloud gaming space going forward.

With that, let’s take a look at everything that was announced for Stadia during The 2020 Game Awards hosted by Geoff Keighley. Oh, and if you’re interested in watching the full presentation, I’ve placed it at the end for you!

Ark 2

ARK 2 feels like a complete reimagining of the ARK series, with Vin Diesel at the helm as Santiago. Yes, he will fight dinosaurs among other things. There’s also an animated series planned around the new game with a cast that will include Michelle Yeoh, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, and more. The developers seemingly want to take the game in a completely different and more cinematic direction than the first game which only really focused on crafting and survival mechanics.

Outriders: Mantras of Survival

Sorry, you’ll have to watch the trailer on Youtube as it’s age-restricted!

Outriders is a third-person shooter mixed with elements from role-playing games. In the beginning of the game, players create their custom characters and choose from four classes, each of them has unique abilities that the players can utilize. The four classes include Trickster, which has the ability to manipulate time, the Pyromancer, which can manipulate fire, the Devastator, which can unleash seismic attacks, and the Technomancer.

Humanity’s efforts to colonize the alien planet, Enoch, went astray as the expedition team encountered a massive energy storm, known as “The Anomaly”, during their search for a mysterious signal—which may indicate hope for humanity’s future. The storm grants both Enoch’s inhabitants and the colonists superpowers.

HUMANKIND – “Lucy”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3ZobQfaZI0

HUMANKIND™ is Amplitude Studios’ magnum opus, a Historical Strategy game where YOU will re-write the entire narrative of humankind – a convergence of culture, history, and values that allows you to create a civilization that is as unique as you are. HOW FAR WILL YOU PUSH HUMANKIND?

A new OpenDev trailer for HUMANKIND released which showed that the game’s release date would be April of 2021. You’ll play as “LUCY” during the OpenDev because LUCY is the name of the fossil that may be the direct ancestor to all of “humankind” because it predated any humanoid skeleton previously found (The oldest skeleton was 3.2 million years old before Lucy was found).
