A brand-new hybrid map looks to be on the way for PUBG Mobile called Fourex

From what we can tell by reports and videos from the early access versions of PUBG Mobile, a new map is headed our way in the near future and is currently only known as Fourex. The reports are coming in that this new, unique map will be a smaller 2×2 terrain with inspiration taken from the current four maps available in the game: Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikindi.

Along with the smaller footprint of this map you get what looks to be a smaller player base as well, limiting the starting group to 50 instead of the classic 100 players. With a map this small, that makes a ton of sense and will still likely result in quicker, more lively matches when it does become available.

From reports, the new map won’t only be a new take on old maps, but it will introduce a few genuinely new elements as well. Players who are testing the map are seeing waterfalls, monster trucks and healing hot springs like we see in Fortnite. Many of us thought the next new map to PUBG Mobile would be the new Karakin map found on the desktop/console version, but it seems the PUBG Mobile developers are headed in a decidedly different direction here. Given the fact that these two games are made by completely different development firms, it isn’t surprising to see the mobile version begin to differentiate itself a bit moving forward.

We’re definitely excited to see this map in action in one of the upcoming updates to PUBG Mobile, but it is currently unclear when we should expect it to arrive. Looking at some of the gameplay videos already circulating, it looks like this map will be ready sooner than later, and as we can all attest to with new maps, modes, or games in PUBG Mobile, it’s an exciting thing to be looking forward to. We’ll update as we learn more.
