The fourth quarter of 2018 has been prolific at delivering more higher-end Chromebooks than any other time in the history of the platform. Where once upon a time we only saw one or two quality devices in a given year, we’re not almost overwhelmed with options, configurations, price points, and manufacturers.
Similar to our reviews section, unboxing Chromebooks and other Chrome OS devices are central to our DNA. It's where our name came from, after all. In this section, you'll find our initial reactions to devices as we pull them out of the box. Sometimes, that's the most telling part of a device review. Be sure to check out the reviews that go with each unboxing.
The ever-important purchasing season is rapidly approaching. Black Friday and the crazy shopping season that follows it is nearly upon us, so we’re trying as hard as we can to get impressions and videos posted so you, dear reader, can make a decision on a Chromebook if you are eyeballing one for a gift.
All the way back in May of this year, we traveled up to New York to attend Acer’s hardware event and got to spend a little time with the Acer Chromebook Spin 13. The Spin 15 was also there along with the Acer Chromebook 13 (non-spin version).
The newest member of the Samsung Chromebook family is upon us, and as we’ve had it in-hand for a few days, we thought it time to give everyone a few first impressions after spending a day or two working from the device. To be honest, we’re refining how we do these videos still, so I’m […]

We’ve been to a few events in the past few months. Between Google’s October 4th Hardware Event and CES, we had ample time to see, touch and test out the Google Home Max. As these things tend to go, however, we never took advantage of that opportunity. I wanted to. I really did. I just […]
All clad in aluminum, this Chromebook improves on all the stuff Acer got right the first time around with the 15.6-inch Chromebook. Last year’s model was all plastic, heavy, and not the most impressive looking thing that has come through the office.
Sure, we may be smack-dab in the middle of all of Google’s latest hardware news, including the latest Belle of the Ball Pixelbook, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the Chrome OS world is stopping. Today, we have in the office what I feel to be the true successor to one of the most […]
With a maxed-out spec sheet and matching price tag, our expectations for HP’s latest Chromebook are pretty high. Can the first impression hold up under all of that? Check it out!
Today, we are getting a very exclusive look at the ASUS Chromebook Flip C213. Clearly aimed at the education sector, this device comes with some pretty stellar features for an EDU model.
AOpen, though not a company that many consumers are aware of, has put together a couple very interesting devices that could end up in places like your local coffee shop in the near future.
If your first thought was ‘What’s up with that title?’ you probably aren’t alone. Lenovo has done something unique with its latest Chromebook, releasing two identical devices under two different names. The Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook and the N23 Yoga Chromebook are essentially the same machine with slightly different paint jobs.
