When it comes to product support, Google’s go-to line of defense is generally the Google Help pages and the volunteer-driven product forums. From Google Chrome to YouTube and everything in between, the forums are managed by Google but the support comes from users like you that Google has recognized as “experts” in the respective forum.
Chromebooks are no exception. The Chromebook Central Help forum is one of the best resources for real-time assistance and troubleshooting for Chrome device. While Google does offer dedicated support for certain products, the forums are a wealth of knowledge and resources for the majority of user obstacles.
In an unusual but not surprising move, Google has launched a new product forum specifically for the new Pixelbook. Google’s latest Chromebook offers some new features not found on other Chrome devices and will likely come with a plethora of consumer inquiries that will benefit from a Pixelbook-specific support platform.
Google has caught a lot of criticism for the support of their previous Pixel Chromebooks and it looks like out of warranty service may still be a deficiency but the availability of live support for Preferred Care customers and a dedicated product forum is a reassuring sign that Google wants the Pixelbook to succeed.
The new Pixelbook forum isn’t showing on the products page, yet. However, it is live and if you’d like to get a jump and finding out more about the soon-to-be-released Pixelbook, you can do so by heading here.
