This morning, news broke of an all new launcher for Chrome OS that showed up in the experimental Canary channel. You know me. It wasn’t enough to sit and marvel at someone else’s video. I had to try it out for myself.
So, I sprung from my recliner, grabbed a Chromebook and headed over to the Canary channel of Chrome OS. Below you can find a bit more in-depth look at the new launcher in action. Please forgive the audio. It was done in a pinch with the internal mic on the Chromebook.

Note: This appears to only be working on touch-enabled devices, which makes sense. I attempted on my Chromebox an clicking the launcher icon or hitting the search key caused Chrome to crash. Work in progress. Such is life in the Canary channel.
