The latest iteration of Acer’s popular Chromebook 15 is bringing the 15.6″ device to a whole new level. With a partially aluminum chassis housing all the features that made its predecessors great, we’ve been looking forward to the release of this device.
According to Acer’s press release, an October launch is planned and some early listings online all but confirm that fact.
The ever-watchful Brent Sullivan has spotted a handful of listings on third-party retail sites that have the Acer Chromebook 15 listed as “coming soon” or “currently unavailable”. One listing, however, shows the Acer 15 as being available in 8-10 days.
CDW doesn’t have a price listed for the Acer but presumably, this will be the $399 model with the Pentium model to come carrying a larger price tag. I have contacted CDW to confirm the price and availability of the model listed.
It’s exciting to see this upgraded version of the Chromebook 15 coming but I will be honest. I haven’t been impressed with the performance of the N3350 chip thus far and will likely hold out or the Pentium to test.
We will keep you posted on the status of this and any new listings for the new Acer Chromebook 15.
