Hallmark Movies Now is officially available through Youtube TV thanks to its owner, Crown Media. The new service features a rotating selection of Hallmark movies and TV Shows, many of which are meant to give you that Christmas feel. Those who want to try it out for the holidays can do so with a 7-day free trial. Thereafter, it will cost $5.99 as an add-on service to your current Youtube TV subscription. Paying directly for Hallmark Movies Now through their website means dishing out a year’s worth of money upfront as their pricing model is only based on an annual fee so far as I could tell, so routing that through Youtube TV is a pretty good deal if you’re into this sort of content.

The on-demand service includes original content from Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Hall of Fame in addition to several popular Hollywood movies in the same genre. The collaboration with Youtube TV comes by way of Hallmark’s annual “Movies & Mistletoe” event. The content here is different than that of the live Hallmark channel, so if you’re paying Crown Media your money, you may as well head over to their Hallmark Movies Now website to get the full experience.

If you’re one of the many people who want feel-good movies for Christmas, but don’t want the not-so-feel-good effect that another subscription can have on your wallet, give the free trial a spin and simply place a reminder on your calendar or with Google Assistant to cancel before you’re charged.

Yes, this is another company trying to get a slice of your wallet and it seems like everyone and their dog is getting in on the subscription game, but the moment I told my girlfriend about this, she got excited, so even though I don’t feel that these movies have very much variety to them, I figured it was worth sharing. To get started, just go to your Youtube TV settings and add your free trial (Only for new Hallmark Movies Now subscribers). I think that Google making partnerships with more content providers to bring more of a selection to Youtube TV so that everyone can customize it to be more “theirs” can only be a good thing, right? Happy Holidays!
