Google Slides and Google Drawings will soon have updated menus that will make it simpler to access frequently used tools. The update includes improvements such as condensed menus, more intuitive feature locations, and easily identifiable icons.
This update is similar to the file menu redesign that took place earlier this year in Docs, with the same goal of making it easier to locate the most commonly-used features, opting for shortened menus and prominent icons. It also looks more modern and pleasing to the eye, matching a more material design.

This new design will be the default for all Google accounts (Workspace and Personal), with an extended rollout that began on Monday, October 17, 2022 for Rapid Release domains. It will begin on October 31st for Scheduled Release domains. I am looking forward to this update being reflected in my account soon so I can test it in my daily workflow.
