Yesterday wrapped up the last day of Google’s I/O developer conference. For those lucky enough to be in attendance at the Chromebook session for optimizing Android Apps for larger screens, Google threw in a pretty sweet deal on the upcoming Samsung Chromebook Pro.
The session, which focused on the optimization of Android Apps for larger screens, offered up some great tidbits for developers looking to get the most out of their apps when the Play Store finally makes its way to more Chromebooks around the world. We will be covering more on that later today.
If you happen to have been at the event, Google is giving you a 75% discount on the Samsung Chromebook Pro when it is officially released on May 28. Google has been known to give away some pretty awesome stuff at the I/O event including a Pixel Chromebook in 2013 and other great swag like the Moto 360 Watch and the Nexus 9 tablet just to name a couple.
Now, this is no free Pixel, but 75% off the Samsung Pro gets you one of the hottest devices around for under $140. That’s still a pretty sweet deal. The motivation is to give developers a top-of-the-line device to test their applications. (probably doesn’t hurt to help market the Pro either)
So, if by chance you were there and missed the announcement, here are the details on how to redeem your promo code for the Samsung Chromebook Pro.
I presume you can access the registration form through your personal I/O dashboard where you registered for the event. The promo is good until July 31, 2017 and can be used to purchase the Pro on Amazon starting May 28.
Please Read: This promotion was for attendees of this particular session of I/O 2017. If you were not physically in Mountain View at the session you do not qualify for the discount. I, nor anyone at Chrome Unboxed, have access to this promotion. Please do not ask for a link. If you were in attendance and need help redeeming the promotion please contact Google.
