In a post just a bit ago, Dieter Bohn of The Verge unveiled many tasty nuggets of info he was able to get straight from the source while at Google I/O 2017. Talking with Kan Liu, one of the most compelling items was the confirmation of a release date for the Samsung Chromebook Pro.
As many of you likely saw earlier this week, we felt pretty sure that May 28th was the pretty-official date for the Chromebook Pro to start shipping.
However, just a day after many of these units were purchased through Amazon, the listing disappeared. Then re-appeared. Then left again.
For now, the listing is still missing, but it could show up at any moment. We’ll leave the button below for you to try at your leisure.
But, that isn’t the point today.
Pre-Order The Samsung Chromebook Pro On Amazon
A Firm Release Date
In an article published just a bit ago, The Verge was able to get some great details about Android on Chromebooks, the state of Android update versions on Chromebooks, and some interesting items about the Samsung Chromebook Pro.
We’re going to dive into that stuff in another post very, very soon, but we wanted to make this part quick and clear: The Samsung Chromebook Pro will be released on May 28th, 2017.
While the Amazon post seemed pretty clear, we’ve all seen those types of listings get pushed before their proper time and release dates get thrown out the window.
It appears that this won’t be the case for the Samsung Chromebook Pro, however.
With any hope, we’ll see the pre-order page go back up so those of you who missed out on the first round can get your order in.
There are some interesting details around this Chromebook release, and we want to give them their proper due. Check back soon!
