“Early bird gets the worm.”
Great words of wisdom unless you’re the “late bird.” For those of you who were quick enough to get a Samsung Chromebook Pro on pre-order, we say “well-played.” Unfortunately, the anticipation for this device appears to have exceeded the pre-order availability.
Less than 24 hours after the surprise listing of the Pro on Amazon, it is now listed as ‘Currently Unavailable.” The reason for the current status is unclear but there are a couple likely scenarios here. One, Samsung wasn’t fully prepared for the response. As there has been no official announcement from Samsung about the Pro’s release and it has yet to be listed on their website.
The other possibility is that the Amazon listing was a mistake. I tend to doubt this. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen devices listed prematurely for sale. Happens all the time, especially with flagship products. However, accidents like that are generally rectified within hours of the listing. The Amazon listing for the Samsung Chromebook Pro stayed up for almost a whole day and you can bet a ton of pre-orders were placed.
