It’s Presidents’ Day and to those chosen ones who lucked out and got the day off, I hope you make the most of the holiday. If shopping some sales is on your to-do list today, Best Buy has a couple of smart home offers you may want to check out. Both of these offers are part of Best Buy’s “Deal of the Day” which runs for only 24 hours then it’s gone.
Nest Hub
Google’s first smart display is still one of the best options out there so long as you don’t want or need a camera on your device. The 7-inch hub features quality audio and all of the home control functions we’ve come to know and love from the Google Assistant. The best part is the fact that it’s a #madebygoogle device which means it gets new features generally weeks before third-party displays.
Retailing for $129, it isn’t unusual to find the Nest Hub on sale for $99 or even a little less if you’re lucky. Best Buy is doubling down on the smart display and offering two in your choice of Charcoal or Chalk all for the price of a single display. The works out to roughly $65 per unit and that’s one of the best deals we’ve seen on the Nest Hub. Even if you have no need for a second one, you can get two for one and give someone the gift of Google a cool new smart display.
Vizio Crave Go w/SmartCast
There aren’t a ton of portable Chromecast-enabled speakers on the market and the options that are available run the gamut when it comes to pricing and sound quality. You can easily drop $300-$400 on speakers from names like Harmon/Kardon or Pioneer but personally, I’m not toting a speaker that costs that kind of cash around the backyard or the pool. Thankfully, you can spend a lot less and still get a quality audio experience with Chromecast built-in, Bluetooth and up to 6 hours of battery life.
The VIZIO SmartCast Crave Go is normally priced at $89.99 but Best Buy has knocked that down to $34.99 for their Deal of the Day. You’ll get a capable and versatile portable speaker that can pair with other Cast-enabled devices and for those times when you’re out of Wi-fi range, the Crave Go offers Bluetooth connectivity as well as a 3.5mm audio input. Oh yeah, it looks pretty sharp as well.
