In the ever-growing ecosystem that is Google Home, Vizio has announce all of their SmartCast-enabled devices now support commands from Google’s smart speaker.
Vizio’s line of SmartCast televisions, soundbars and speakers come with Chromecast built-in. Using the SmartCast App or the native Cast option, many of your favorite streaming services are available to cast from your smartphone or laptop devices.
Now, with the addition of Google Home commands, using your SmartCast devices just got a little easier.
Just as you would with your plugged-in Chromecast, you can stream content with a simple voice command that will wake your Vizio SmartCast device and off you go.
Although it may seem a small step, it is a glimpse of what is to come in the near future as manufacturers begin integrating Google’s Home assistant with their already smart devices.
