You’ll soon be able to get the Google Home Max for only $149

November 16, 2020 By Robby Payne Leave a Comment

We’ve talked about the Google Home Max on numerous occasions around here. From hoping to leverage it as a part of a Google Home Theater setup one day to going on about how great this speaker sounds on a daily basis here in the office even years after its debut, we’re clearly fond of the Google Home Max’s proficiency as a speaker.

While I like the new Nest Audio and find a ton of use in the Nest Mini, the Google Home Max is still my favorite smart speaker to date mainly due to its overall sound quality and self-adjusting EQ that not only changes for the genre of music playing, but also maps the room around it to make sure the bass and treble are just right. I’m not shy in saying it is my favorite speaker (not just smart speaker) and where I turn to listen to tracks when I really want to hear everything going on inside them.

An insane deal is coming for the Google Home Max

Starting on November 22, Google has announced via email that the Google Home Max will be on sale for $150 off the standard $299 asking price, making this standout speaker a mere $149 in just under a week from today. They don’t allude to how long this deal will last or how strong inventory is, so if you’ve even been remotely interested in this speaker, mark your calendar and get ready to hit that order button when the deal goes live. We’d expect it to happen around 8am or 9am PST, but neither the email or website included that info, either.

If I were you and I wanted to get my hands on one (I’m strongly considering getting the charcoal version for my personal use), I’d set an alarm and be ready to refresh the Google Store page on an hourly basis as early as you can on November 22nd. I know I will be because $149 for a speaker of this capability is, frankly, a bit insane and likely won’t stick around for long.
