Head over to the Google homepage today (or the New Tab Page in Chrome), and you’ll be greeted with a fantastic, playable new Doodle. This isn’t just a simple animation; Google is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the classic arcade icon PAC-MAN with a special, custom-built Halloween edition of the game.
This new Doodle game was designed in partnership with PAC-MAN’s parent company, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and features eight levels, including four unique haunted-house mazes.
Your mission, as always, is to guide PAC-MAN through the maze, chomp all the Dots, and dodge the iconic ghosts: Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde. In a clever new twist, Google says you should pay close attention to the design of each haunted house, as it directly reflects the personality of the ghost that haunts it. And, of course, you can still grab those Power Pellets to turn the tables and chase the ghosts yourself.
This is a fantastic treat for a Friday (and just in time for Halloween!). Be sure to head over to the Google homepage to play it, as the Doodle will only be live for the rest of the day today.
