Last night I came across a deal that, frankly, I wasn’t expecting as we enter into the full-blown shopping season after today’s Thanksgiving festivities. As part of my Gear of the Year picks, I put the Apple AirPods Pro at the top of my list because they are headphones that simply do it all for me. Sure, when I bought them I had to think really hard about whether $249 wireless earbuds would actually be worth it long-term, but I’m very glad I made the jump as these earphones are part of my everyday carry and are in my pocket literally all the time. In fact, they are in my ears right now as I write this from my kitchen table.

I’m not an Apple fan in general, but I’d be remiss not to give them credit where it is due. The Apple AirPods Pro do everything in a set of wireless, ANC earbuds that I could hope for. They sound great, provide very solid active noise cancellation, give me the best pass-through mode when I need it, are much smaller and discrete than many other earbuds, fit insanely comfortably for very long periods, and the charging case fits in my pocket with zero issues. Put bluntly, they are the wireless earbuds I wish Google would have made with their Pixelbuds 2.
And right now, you can buy them brand new from Walmart for a whopping $80 off the regular asking price. That’s right! At least until Saturday (or until they sell out) you can grab a set of my favorite wireless earbuds for $169. Apple has not put them on sale too often since they launched, so I wouldn’t wait around for another opportunity if you’ve been considering a pair for yourself or someone on your shopping list. While the sale goes through Saturday, it’s hard for me to imagine these not drying up and selling out before then. For what it’s worth, though, there are still a few pairs at my local Walmart, so there’s definitely opportunity to get a pair at this point. Just do it sooner than later.
