UPDATE: Shortly after sharing this deal, the Pro has returned to the regular price of $599. The 500GB SSD still comes with it but the discount is no longer available on the Pro. We will keep an eye on the page to see if it returns.
Update 2: It appears the deal has returned buy no longer includes the free SSD. Still, $399 is a great price on this Chromebook.
Samsung’s Chromebook Pro lead the charge for the current generation of Chrome devices and despite being a bit long in the tooth, is still a great performer in a first-class chassis. A lot of users have grown to disdain the Pro thanks to some unknown hangup that has prevented the Skylake chipsets from receiving Linux apps like their newer Chrome OS counterparts.
The refreshed Chromebook Pro brought the much-needed addition of a backlit keyboard but for $599, it’s hard to look at the aging device and not recommend something like the HP Chromebook X360 or even a discounted Pixlebook. However, you knocked $200 off the Pro and now we’re talking a hard deal to pass up.
Then, you throw in a half terabyte portable SSD and it almost becomes a crime not to buy one. As a matter of fact, I’m pulling the trigger just because I can’t help myself.
While supplies last, you can score the Samsung Chromebook Pro with an Intel Core m3, 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage w/backlit keyboard for the crazy low price of $399 and Samsung will throw in the T5 500GB Portable SSD for your trouble. That’s a $129 accessory that will pair nicely with your new Chromebook.
Check out the deal at the link below before they’re gone. I have a feeling we may be seeing a new device from Samsung in the near future so they are probably making room for new inventory.
