By now, you’ve likely heard the news that we will soon see headphones on the market equipped with the Google Assistant. Already out in the wild, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II noise-canceling headphones look to be first in line to hit retail shelves.
The most recent sighting of the upcoming headphones was at a brick and mortar Best Buy location in Florida. @jeremyjudkins was able to get his hands on the device but unfortunately was cut short when attempting to purchase them. The retailer informed him that the Bose we not actually available yet but did confirm a selling price of $349.

Being ever-diligent, our friend Ben Schoon (@NexusBen) from 9to5Google headed to his local Best Buy and found a very similar situation. The new Assistant-enabled Bose headphones were right there on the shelf but not-yet-available. He was able to confirm with two employees that they would go on sale this Friday, Septemeber 22.
Just this morning I received further confirmation that the new Bose will, indeed, be stocked and available from Best Buy this week.

Just saw a bunch of QC 35 II’s at my local best buy and tried to get one. They wouldn’t let me, said they weren’t supposed to be on the floor yet. So I asked when are they supposed to be on the floor and he looked in the computer and said September 22nd
The pre-Google event release date seemed a bit odd at first but with multiple sightings, it looks very likely that the second generation Bose QC35 will be the first Assistant headphones to hit the market. Google very well may announce their own in-house device at the upcoming event or possibly just touch on the new platform and use the Bose QC35 as an example.
We will be on the ground in San Francisco Oct. 4 with all the new from #madebygoogle. Be sure to subscribe and stay in the know.
