The Core i7 Pixelbook is still getting a massive discount at the moment but Acer is looking to grab some attention with a one-day sale that can score you some serious savings. Among the Amazon-exclusive deals are Predator laptop bags, gaming accessories and curved monitors but rounding out the list is one of the best Chromebooks available on the market.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 13 is still my daily drive despite my new-found affinity for the HP Chromebook X360. The Spin’s aluminum build and unique 13.5″ 3:2 display offers a look and feel that, in my opinion, can’t be found in other Chromebooks. My Spin goes everywhere with me and even though it is rare, I even occasionally use the garaged stylus.
My only beef with Acer’s flagship has been the price. Yes, it’s one of the most powerful Chromebooks on the market. Yes, it’s designed beautifully and the metal chassis is as premium as it gets. Still, the near nine-hundred dollar retail on the Core i5 model is a tough pill to swallow when flagships from other OEMs are running in the $550-$650 range.
On the flip side, when you’re talking under $700, I have no problem at all giving two thumbs up to purchase the Acer Spin 13. For the next few hours, you can do exactly that. The Core i5, 8GB/128GB Chromebook Spin 13 has been knocked down to $649.99.
If you’re budget isn’t quite ready for the Spin, Acer has some savings on some other Chromebooks. While I don’t recommend buying a Braswell device because of the age and encroaching End of Life, you can grab the Acer R11 or the clamshell Chromebook 11 and save 23% off the retail price.
The underrated Chromebook R13 is on sale as well. Acer’s ARM-powered convertible was a great first attempt at a device like this but it has just been to pricey for what it offers. Right now, you can grab one for $299 and that makes it a deal worth considering for a Chromebook that feels premium but won’t break the bank.
Acer’s sale ends in a little over 16 hours so don’t miss out. You can find the listing with all of Acer’s Amazon deals at the link below.
