Everyone, or at least a lot of you, are anxiously awaiting the Samsung Chromebook Pro and don’t get me wrong, I’m ready to see it released. However, some of you may have forgotten the fact that ASUS has promised us a number of configurations of the C302 Chromebook Flip and as of this evening, I’m still seeing just the one on their website.

Meanwhile, over in Merrie Olde England, there seem to option a plenty for those like me who might prefer the ASUS over the Samsung Plus or Pro. Today, another version of the Chromebook Flip has been listed for pre-order on Amazon UK. If you are in the United Kingdom, cheers. Here are the details.

ASUS UK currently lists eight variations of the C302 Chromebook but this latest release isn’t one of them. The model number, C302CA-GU011, isn’t listed on ASUS UK. If these specs are correct, this would make the ninth variant of the device I have been waiting months to see here in the U.S. I know, first world problems. Anyway, here are the specifications of the latest model.

  • Chrome OS
  • Intel Core M7-6Y75 1.2 GHz Processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB eMMC storage
  • 12.5″1920×1080 Full HD LED Touch Display
  • 2 x USB 3.1 Type C
  • Backlit keyboard
  • convertible form-factor

This is an odd combination of internals for a device in my opinion. While 4GB RAM is enough to handle Chrome OS, combined with a core M7 chip just seems to defeat the purpose. But hey, what do I know. This may be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. If so, you can pre-order from Amazon today for £799.99. Check it out at the link below. If you’re in the States, sorry, we’re still stuck with the Core M3 but thankfully it’s readily available. You can grab it from Amazon as well.
