After weeks of leaks and scattered shelf sightings, Walmart’s new Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming box is officially showing up live for many more customers online. If you’ve followed Onn for any amount of time, you know that Walmart rarely does a hard, coordinated launch day for these in-house streamers. Devices simply start trickling out of distribution centers and onto shelves whenever local employees pull them from the back room. And that is exactly what we are seeing right now with the new Onn Google TV lineup.
The official online listings are becoming much more widely visible to users across the US, but actual availability is still a bit spotty. Here locally for us, the Walmart in the larger city already has stock ready for pickup, but our more rural store is still coming up empty. It definitely doesn’t seem like the devices have rolled out to every location just yet, but given the sudden uptick in live listings, I imagine we are not too far off from a full, nationwide release.
If you missed our coverage of the initial leaks a few weeks ago, you might be wondering why there is so much hype around an in-house Walmart streaming box.
The short answer is value. The new Onn 4K Pro looks incredibly similar to the $99 Google TV Streamer, featuring that same low-profile, slanted set-top box design. But instead of costing a hundred bucks, Walmart is pricing it at $59.88, while packing a spec sheet that will certainly be sufficient for most users.
This $60 completely addresses the biggest hurdle most streaming sticks face: a lack of memory. Walmart packed in 3GB of RAM (a 50% increase over the previous model) and 32GB of onboard storage. That means we’ll hopefully get snappy menu navigation, incredibly fast app loads, and zero low-storage warnings.

The Pro box is also designed to be a hub for your entire living room. It features a Matter over Thread radio for smart home integration, and built-in far-field microphones that effectively turn the box into a Gemini-powered smart speaker (and yes, there is a physical mute switch on the back if you prefer your privacy).
On top of that, Walmart is including a backlit remote with a built-in ‘Find My Remote’ feature, Wi-Fi 6 support, a dedicated 100Mbps Ethernet port, a USB-A port for side-loading, and they finally moved to USB-C for power.
So, if you are ready to pull the trigger on this $60 Pro model, it is absolutely worth checking your local inventory right now. I have a feeling these are going to fly off the shelves once the wider rollout is complete.
