Walmart’s new $60 Onn 4K Pro is loaded and right on the cusp of release

If you’ve been looking for a reason to upgrade your aging streaming setup, Walmart might have just provided it. The 2026 refresh of the Onn 4K Pro Google TV box has leaked all over the place, and the specs suggest this device is arriving packed with great features for the price.

From upgraded internals to smart home integration, here is everything we know about the upcoming launch.

Hardware upgrades: RAM and storage

The biggest hurdle for budget streaming sticks is usually a lack of memory, leading to stuttering menus and slow app loads. Walmart is addressing this head-on by packing 3GB of RAM into the new Pro model – a 50% increase over the previous 4K Plus version.

Storage is also getting a much-needed boost. The device now features 32GB of onboard storage, giving you plenty of room for apps and games without having to worry about constant low space warnings.

A smarter hub for your home

Perhaps the most interesting addition is the inclusion of a Matter over Thread radio. This allows the Onn 4K Pro to act as a hub for your smart home devices, similar to high-end Nest hardware.

Additionally, the box features built-in far-field microphones for hands-free voice control. This essentially turns your TV box into a Gemini-powered smart speaker, allowing you to control your home or search for content without ever touching the remote. (And for the privacy-conscious, there is a dedicated mute switch on the back).

Find My Remote

We’ve all lost the remote in the couch cushions at some point. Walmart is once again solving this by including Find My Remote functionality. The new remote also features a backlight; a premium touch that is missing from even many high-end TV manufacturers’ remotes.

Connectivity and ports

In terms of I/O, the new refresh is a bit of a mixed bag:

  • Wi-Fi 6 Support: Expect much faster, buffer-free 4K streaming.
  • Ethernet (100Mbps): A dedicated port for a stable wired connection.
  • USB-C Power: Finally moving away from the old barrel plugs to a more universal standard.
  • USB-A: Interestingly, the listing suggests a move to USB 2.0, which is technically a slight downgrade from the previous generation’s port speed, but still perfectly fine for side-loading or external storage.

When can you get it?

While the official launch is likely a few weeks away, early birds have already managed to find these at their local Walmarts. At $59.88, it undercuts almost every other “Pro” streaming device on the market while offering a feature set that, frankly, puts some of Google’s own hardware to shame. The link below should work to snag one once the page goes live again.
