Walmart’s Google-y Black Friday Deals go live tonight with bonus Vudu credits

November 25, 2020 By Gabriel Brangers Leave a Comment

The big day is almost here. Tomorrow, we will gather in whatever shape, form, or fashion that looks like, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. We’re wishing you a festive and safe break from the ongoing barrage that is 2020. If you’re like many, you’ve armed yourself with a game plan to get your holiday shopping done over the next few days as Black Friday arrives in all its glory. Hopefully, you’ve cashed in on many of the deals that have trickled down during this month-long shopping season.

Like many retailers, Walmart has been dropping deals daily and weekly to draw online shoppers in lieu of the in-store madness that usually takes place on Black Friday and the days following. In just a few minutes, the final round of holiday deals will go live and it’s the perfect chance to beef up your smart home game and score some free movies for your trouble.

Chromecast & Nest Mini

The spotlight deals from Walmart include your choice of a Chromecast Gen 3 or the awesome little Nest Mini smart speaker at the lowest price we’ve seen this year. Regularly $29.99 and $49.99 respectively, you can pick up either or both for only $18.98. Granted, the Nest Mini is usually on sale for $29.99 on days that end in “Y” but this is still a great price for a very capable smart speaker and a reliable streaming dongle.

To add some icing to the cake, Walmart is tossing in a $5 credit for the company’s Vudu video service. You can use the credit towards the purchase or rental of one of your favorite movies. This brings the overall price of your new Google hardware down to just $14 and that’s not too shabby. These would make great stocking stuffers or gifts for that virtual office party if that’s a thing. The deals go live at 7 PM ET and you can find them both below.

Google Nest Hub

Google’s Assistant-enabled smart display has been on sale for a few days now and frankly, it’s a steal at $49.99 but Walmart has going the extra mile. When you purchase the 7″ smart display, you’ll get a $20 Vudu credit and you can even watch your new video purchases right on the Nest Hub if that’s your fancy. The $20 credit nets you the smart display for only $29.98 and it doesn’t get better than that when we’re talking about #madebygoogle hardware. This deal went live a little early and you can actually pick it up right now on Walmart.com. Check it out below and stay tuned because we’ll have a full Black Friday roundup headed your way after the turkey coma wears off.
