The Best Black Friday Deals on Chromebooks, Smart Displays and more

November 24, 2020 By Gabriel Brangers Leave a Comment

We’re heading into the home stretch and soon, all the best Black Friday deals will be little more than a distant memory. While we’re sure that we’ll see some more deals drop in the coming days from retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and others, many of the biggest discounts are available now. Most of these deals will likely run through the rest of the week as stores ramp up for the final Black Friday push but there’s a good chance that many of these products will be sold out long before Friday actually arrives.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook

Samsung’s flagship convertible took first place in our top tier of Best Chromebooks of 2020 and rightfully so. The 10th Gen Comet Lake Chromebook is the sleekest and most beautifully designed Chrome OS device on the market and right now, you can pick one up and save $200 or more when you purchase from Samsung direct. You can choose from either the spicy Fiesta Red or Mercury Gray model and you can pick up an extra 10% cashback when you use your free Rakuten account to shop at Samsung.com.

HP Chromebook x360 14c

HP’s latest flagship convertible is pulling a repeat of last year’s model by offering one of the deepest discounts to be found on a Chromebook during the Black Friday season. The 10th Gen Core i3 convertible boasts a fingerprint sensor, 8GB of RAM, and a really good keyboard and trackpad. Normally priced the same $629 as our top-pick Acer Spin 713, the HP is currently $250 off at Best Buy. That means that you can get one of the best Chromebooks of 2020 for the incredibly low price of only $379. What’s more, Best Buy is offering some bundles that will save you up to $288 dollars and score you the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential and some gaming headphones from JLab Audio.

Lenovo Smart Clock Essential

Speaking of the Lenovo Essential Smart Clock, the tiny smart speaker/alarm clock has been on sale for a few days now and Walmart is the place to pick it up. Chances are decent that you might even find one at your local store. Normally $49.99, Walmart has the awesome little Google Assistant alarm clock at its all-time low on only $24.88.

Google Home Max

It may seem odd that we’re talking about a smart speaker that is now going on three years old but the fact is, the Google Home Max is still one of the most powerful and high-quality Assistant speakers on the market. At its launch, the Google Home with adaptive sound and booming audio was priced at $399. That felt a little steep but at the same time, you’re getting a whole lot of speaker. Since then, the MSRP of the Home Max has dropped to $299 which makes it a bit more palatable for those willing to fork over the cash for the premium Google Assistant experience. However, for Black Friday the Max has been reduced to $149 but they are selling out fast. Best Buy no longer has them but you can still pick up the speaker from Walmart, the Google Store, and other select retailers. Without a doubt, this is the best dollar-for-dollar smart speaker you can find at any price thanks to this deal.

Nest Hub and Hub Max

If you’re looking for a great deal on an Assistant-enabled smart display, look no further than the source. Whether you just want a budget-friendly display for the bedroom or a full-featured one to do everything in your home including video calling, both of Google’s smart displays are enjoying some serious price cuts at the moment. The smaller Nest Hub that omits a camera and is designed for the more discrete areas of your home normally retails for $89.99 but you can pick it up for just under $50 from Best Buy. If you wait until Black Friday, you can grab the same deal from Walmart and you’ll score a$20 Vudu credit to purchase some new movies for your library.

The Nest Hub Max brings all the smart home controls from the smaller Nest Hub and adds a camera for video calls, face-match, and superior audio. The 10″ smart display is regularly $229 but you can pick one up for $179 from Best Buy, Walmart, or the Google Store.

Lenovo Smart Clock

Lenovo’s original smart clock is still my favorite Assistant device around my house. I use it to charge my TicWatch and it is the perfect device for the bedroom. The 4″ touch display doubles as a night light and it offers up useful information like the current temperature and weather conditions. Toss in the fact that you can use the Assistant to control all of your smart things, this tiny alarm clock is one of the best smart speakers ever invented. Normally $80, the Lenovo Smart Clock is a tad on the pricey side when you consider much larger displays can be had for less. However, you can pick up the gray or charcoal model from Lenovo right now for only $34.99 and that makes this Assistant speaker a deal worth having.
