Content creators attempting to upload new videos and Shorts to YouTube are running into difficulties as the platform is currently experiencing an issue that is preventing some uploads from processing properly.
According to Google’s statement, the core problems being reported involve uploads becoming stalled at the very beginning of the process, indicated by a persistent “0%” completion status. Additionally, some creators are finding that their upload progress halts specifically during the “suitability” check phase.
The issue doesn’t seem to be isolated to a single platform, and Google has indicated that both desktop and mobile users are affected. Whether attempting to upload via the YouTube website on a computer or through the mobile application on a phone or tablet, creators may encounter problems on all sides.
While the full scope of the bug remains unclear, there has been noticeable activity on social media, with numerous creators reaching out to the @TeamYouTube support account on Twitter/X to report these upload failures. This suggests that the issue is impacting a significant portion of the YouTube creator community.
The YouTube team has acknowledged these reports and assures users that they are actively investigating the situation. As more information becomes available and a resolution is implemented, they will update their support post with the latest details. Stay tuned.
