Another day, another Chromebook lands the Play Store and access to Android Apps.
As reported by one of our readers, the HP Chromebook 11 G5 appears to have updated with the Google Play Store ready to rock.
The 5th generation of the HP 11, runs on the Intel dual-core N3060 processor. It is also the first in HP’s 11.6″ line to offer up a touchscreen option.
This makes this fifth device reported since the latest Developer channel update. We anxiously look forward to news of more devices to add to the list.
The ASUS Flip, Acer R11 and Chromebook Pixel LS are still the only devices to have access to the Play Store in the Stable channel.
But, we have seen the addition of the Acer R13 running the Beta channel. Now, with the addition of the HP 11, the tally is up to 5 for Chromebooks running Android apps in the Developer channel.
Here’s the list, in case you missed it.
That’s a pretty impressive, not to mention, diverse list. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will see even more additions very soon. Hopefully, the Play Store Will find it’s way to the Stable channel in the coming weeks.
Hopefully.
Has your device received the Play Store?
If it’s not on this list, drop a comment below. We’d love to hear about your experience with Android apps on your Chrome OS.
Thanks to Geoffrey Carr-Harris for the update.
