Since its debut, Google’s AI video generation model, Veo, has shown some incredible potential. That potential is clearly resonating, as Google just announced that over 70 million videos have been created with Veo 3 since May. Building on that massive momentum, the company is now taking the next big step: its most advanced video generation models, Veo 3 and the speed-focused Veo 3 Fast, are now generally available to everyone on the Vertex AI platform.
This move from a limited preview to general availability signals that Veo is ready for prime time, giving businesses and creators access to professional-grade, scalable AI video creation tools.
What Veo 3 brings to the table
Veo 3 is designed to give creators the control and quality needed to produce complete, compelling narratives. The platform now offers a powerful set of core features, including:
- Create scenes with native audio: Veo 3 generates both video and audio in a single step, which allows it to create scenes with characters that speak with accurate lip-syncing, along with sound effects that fit the mood.
- Deliver professional quality at scale: The models produce high-definition (1080p) video, suitable for marketing campaigns, product demos, and more.
- Simplify content localization: Businesses can produce a video once and then use Veo 3’s native dialogue generation to localize it for dozens of languages.
- Image-to-video (coming soon): Coming to public preview in August, Veo 3 will also be able to take a single image and animate it, creating an 8-second video clip.
Already being used by major brands
This isn’t just a tool for experimentation; major brands are already using Veo 3 on Vertex AI to create professional-quality content. Design platform Canva is using Veo to make it easy for its millions of users to create videos for marketing and social media. Global investing platform eToro used Veo 3 to produce 15 fully AI-generated versions of an ad, each in a different native language, with their Head of Creative noting, “Ironically, AI didn’t reduce humanity – it amplified it.”
How to get started
Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast are built for responsible enterprise use. Every frame of video generated includes an invisible SynthID digital watermark to help combat misinformation, and the services are covered by Google’s indemnity for generative AI.
This is a major milestone for AI video generation, making some of the most powerful tools on the market accessible to a much wider audience of creators and businesses. To get started, you can learn more about Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast and try it out on the Vertex AI Media Studio.
