The last arrival of the new wave of products announced at Google’s 10/4 #madebygoogle event is now up for pre-order.
The listing over at the Google Store shows the device shipping in 2-3 weeks.
Features Rundown
As a quick reminder, Google Wifi is a super-simple, yet powerful router for use in your home or office. It supports a mesh feature, allowing multiple Google Wifi units to work together seamlessly to cover your entire home, regardless of how large it is.
You can order single units for $129 (up to 1500 sq. ft.) or a 3-pack for $300 for larger homes or offices.
Additional features include Network Assist, a dedicated app for controls, pause-per-device, and device prioritization.
The Network Assist helps with the multi-unit setup, smartly switching you to the router with the strongest connection. Additionally, Google states that it works behind the scenes to avoid network congestion.
The app allows you to set up and manage your router, pause individual devices for family time, and prioritize certain devices over others in the home.
I’m purchasing one for the home today and possibly for the office as well. As always, as I get it in, we’ll do an unboxing, setup and review in the coming weeks.
If you are at all interested, I’d encourage you to get this thing ordered immediately (at the Google Store). I could see a SOLD OUT message in your near future if you don’t.
