First noticed by 9to5Google, the “Not Pink” version of the Pixelbook Go has been removed from the Google Store – well, not entirely. As you can see below, the listing now only lets you choose the black version of the device as an available color during check out, but what’s odd is that the Pixelbook Go splash page shows the Not Pink version filling a large header, which seems a bit misleading. This will probably be removed soon.
My other half noticed this today when she was looking at it as a Christmas gift. I’ve been eyeballing it for quite some time so that I could snag it for her before the year’s end, but now it seems as though I and anyone else who was interested in this model will have to make other plans before December 25th.
The original Pixelbook was recently removed from the Google Store as well, so it seems like Google is cleaning house, doesn’t it? I imagine that the “not pink” version of the Go never really sold that well because it wasn’t even available to buy much earlier on for a while and only ever launched in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. The Pixelbook Go features several variants available in just and only the color Black aside from the i7 variant which is out of stock in the U.S. as usual (but still available in Canada):
- $649 – Intel Core m3 8GB RAM 64GB Storage
- $849 – Intel Core i5 8GB RAM 128GB Storage
- $999 – Intel Core i5 16GB RAM 128GB Storage
- $1,399 – Intel Core i7 16GB RAM 256GB Storage (out of stock in the U.S.)
If you’re considering the 4K version of the device, live in Canada where it’s still available and want to see what the “not pink” version of the device looked like before it was yanked from the Google Store, check out our video on it below.
