If you use Google Meet hardware in your conference rooms, you might notice things looking a little more familiar soon. Google is rolling out a refreshed user interface for its touch controllers that is designed to bring the in-room experience much closer to what you are used to seeing on your laptop.
The update is rolling out now to a wide range of devices, including the Mimo Vue HD, Mimo Mist, Logitech Tap, Logitech Tap IP, and Lenovo Series One Touch controllers (with Android-based controllers coming soon).
Cleaner, simpler, and more familiar
The main goal of this redesign is efficiency. Google has reorganized the layout to put the most critical controls—like mute and hand raise—front and center, meaning less time hunting for buttons when you need to speak up.

To keep the interface clean, deeper settings like camera controls and layout options have been tucked away into a “More actions” menu. It’s a cleaner, uncluttered look that mirrors the Google Meet web UI, making the transition from your desk to the conference room feel much more intuitive.
Better support for Zoom and Webex
The pre-call screen is getting a facelift, too. It now prominently features the option to enter a meeting code or nickname, but perhaps most helpfully, it includes a clear drop-down menu for joining Webex or Zoom meetings. This streamlines the process of jumping into calls hosted on other platforms, which is a massive win for interoperability in shared office spaces.
The rollout began on December 1, 2025, and is available to all Google Workspace customers with compatible Meet hardware.
