We are just a day away from the Made by Google 2025 hardware event, and in a last-minute teaser, Google has revealed that this year’s show is going to be a bit of a different affair this time around. To mark the 10-year anniversary of Pixel, the company is moving away from the standard tech keynote and is instead putting on a full-blown, star-studded event.

In a new teaser video posted to YouTube and other social media, Google not only showed off another quick glimpse of the upcoming hardware but also revealed a lineup of special guests who will be part of the show, and it’s quite the list for a tech event.

According to the teaser, the event will feature names from across the entertainment and sports worlds. Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Curry, (Formula 1 driver) Lando Norris, and The Jonas Brothers are all slated to make an appearance of some sort. The teaser also promises “and more,” so it’s entirely possible there will be other surprise guests as well.

A decidedly mainstream approach for Pixel

This is a massive departure from any hardware event Google has done in the past. For years, these keynotes have been led by product managers and engineers, focused on the technical specs and software features for an audience of tech press and enthusiasts.

This new format is a clear and deliberate move to capture the attention of a much broader, mainstream audience. By bringing in household names from late-night TV, sports, and music, Google is definitely aiming to elevate the Pixel brand’s cultural relevance and compete not just on features, but on star power and brand appeal, too. It’s a marketing strategy we’ve never seen deployed at this scale for a Pixel launch.

While we’re still incredibly excited to see the new Pixel 10 lineup, the Pixel Watch 4, and the new Pixel Buds, an equally compelling story right now is the presentation itself. It’s a bold move from Google for sure, and we can’t wait to tune in tomorrow to see how this anniversary celebration unfolds.
