It’s that time again! As we cycle through hardware here at the office, sometimes it is time to let things go.

This time, it is my beloved ASUS Chromebox i3 with an upgraded 8GB of RAM.

Easy To Upgrade

Additionally, this device has 16GB of SSD storage that is VERY EASY to upgrade. I bought a newer Chromebox for work and took my 16GB of RAM and 128GB SSD out of this ASUS to put into my new Chromebox.

While upgrading past the 8GB of RAM already included is probably not necessary, upgrading the SSD couldn’t be easier with this device. If you do end up upgrading it, you will likely see a few nicks and scratches under the rubber feet as I’ve had this little guy open a few times.

All that is needed is to remove 4 base screws, pop the bottom off, and take out the small screw holding in the SSD. Drop in your new one, close it up, turn it on, place in the recovery USB and you are good to go.

I’ve done it many times and it is the easiest device I’ve ever upgraded. Feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll help you out.

Performance Is Still Amazing

This thing is still very, very fast. I only upgraded my Chromebox to get Android apps to use at work. This ASUS Chromebox will not get Play Store support as it is a 4th gen Intel processor, but the use-cases are still very broad. I’ve been running at least a QHD monitor on it for months with no issues. I also used an additional 1080p screen as a second screen and this thing didn’t even flinch.

If you are looking for an affordable way to have an always-on desktop solution at work or home, this thing is a true workhorse! Also included are the wireless keyboard and mouse from ASUS that came in the box. The box is included too!

As always, there is only 1 available, so it is first-come, first-served.

Please make sure and include your address in the notes section during the sale. Please shoot me an email if you can as well so we can communicate after the sale.

I’ll ship within 48 hours. Normally within 24. Good luck!
