When I was a kid I remember there being this awesome firefighting game in Celebration Station, a sort of arcade house with go karts and pizza in the area I live. I spent all of my money on it to put flames out and save lives. To this day, I can’t recall the name of it, but now I don’t need to! Embr is now available in early access on Stadia and it allows you to do just that.

Embr is a physics based game in the vein of Goat Simulator, Get Packed, Moving Out, Octodad or Totally Reliable Delivery Service just to name a few. There is no doubt that these types of games have become massively popular over the last few years thanks almost entirely to their quirky gameplay. The trailer for Embr shows a news service interviewing firefighters before they brave the flames and rescue a guy named John who, incidentally, is on the ‘john’ when found. I love the humor here.

Your goal is to get the citizen to safety, douse the flames and make the experience as comfortable as possible for the homeowner, given the situation, of course. In exchange, you’ll receive an Uber style rating. The concept is just so ridiculous that it’s great. Why didn’t I think of this?

Team up with up to three of your friends in online mode or play solo right now by using the button below. Being that the game is in early access, it means that you’ll continue to see improvements and features added in as the developers work on it. If you want to give feedback on how you’d like to see the game shaped over time, you can join the Embr Discord HERE.

Stadia Pro subscribers can become an ‘early responder’ for $14.99 and everyone else can snag a copy of the game for a dollar more at $15.99, neither being the price it will rest at after it exits early access. In fact, the listing shows that the pricing offer ends on May 29th, 2020, so it’s a good idea to build games like this into your Stadia library now!
