Thanks to 2020, Black Friday is no longer a shopping event packed into a single day or even week, for that matter. To reduce the number of in-store shoppers, many retailers are already offering “Early Black Friday” deals and will continue to do so over the next few weeks with rolling deals. Walmart has already launched a circular highlighting Black Friday deals that will launch on November 4th and November 11th. Each promotion will last five days or while supplies last. Oddly enough, neither of those days is a Friday but hey, it’s 2020.
There isn’t much in the way of Google-related tech but the one Chromebook deal offered by Walmart during this sale is worth adding to your shopping list. HP has a wide variety of offerings in the 14-inch Chromebook segment and some, like the HP Chromebook x360 14c, is as premium as they come. Others, not so much. Smack dab in the middle, HP has a 14-inch convertible that’s powered by the Gemini Lake N4020 CPU and offers a premium look with a relatively low price tag. Granted, this Chromebook only has a 1366 x 768 HD display but what it lacks screen crispiness, it makes up for in overall specs. The HP Chromebook 14a-na0090wm comes in a very unique Teal and gives you the versatility of a 2-in-1 with a touch display, good port selection and a respectable 64GB of storage.
This Chromebook normally retails for $299. At that price, I find it a little difficult to recommend solely because the screen isn’t Full HD. Still, the N4020 CPU has proven itself to be a workhorse capable of handling almost any task that a moderate user will throw at it. During Walmart’s Pre-Black Friday sale, you can pick up this convertible for only $179 and that make’s this device one of the most formidable Chromebooks to be had under $200. If you have been desperately looking for an affordable device that won’t make you cringe every time you take it out of your bag, this should be at or near the top of your list. The deal doesn’t go live until November 11th and I’d bet that this budget Chromebook will sell out quickly. So, bookmark this page and be ready to grab yours when the sale starts.
