The premium Chromebook space has become highly competitive over the past few years. With flagship models from most major OEMs coming in around $500-$700, it is very easy to get your hands on a powerful and versatile Chromebook and know that you’re getting your money’s worth. When you can score a deal on one of these devices, it’s money in the bank and today’s deal is probably one of the best sales on one of the best Chromebooks you can buy.

The Chromebook Spin 714 is Acer’s new take on an old favorite. Evolved from the wildly popular Spin 713, the Spin 714 brings all the things we loved about its predecessors and adds some new twists that make it even better. The all-new ChromeOS 2-in-1 from Acer ditches the 13.5-inch, 3:2 panel and opts for a 16:10 14-inch panel which has become more popular in ChromeOS laptops in recent years. This model also brings back the garaged stylus that has been absent since the release of the second iteration of the Spin 713. Of course, this garaged pen is USI and it recharges while it’s housed inside the Chromebook’s keyboard deck.

Like previous models, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 features an Intel Core i5, and this one happens to be the powerful 12th gen version that features beefy Iris Xe graphics. This means that this Chromebook will be ready to go when Steam gaming finally makes its way to the public. You also get a whopping 256GB of NVMe storage and 8GB of RAM that pairs perfectly with this powerful Intel processor. The new flagship from Acer retains its premium, aluminum build, bright display, killer trackpad, and everything else that made the aforementioned Spin 713 so awesome. While the price did bump a bit from previous generations, the $729 price tag still makes this Chromebook an exceptional value to users that want and need premium hardware.

That said, this Chromebook just gets better when you can grab one at a discount. Since its release, we’ve seen some solid sales on the Spin 714 that brought the price down to a delectable $579. At that price, I would advise you by this Chromebook even if you didn’t need a new device. However, today’s discount takes the powerful Acer Chromebook down to a sub-five hundred price tag and makes it, in my opinion, the best deal around on any premium Chromebook on the market. For a limited time, Best Buy has slashed the price of the Spin 714 by $230. That nabs you this powerful 12th Gen Evo-certified Chromebook for the laughably low price of only $499. That’s crazy. Here’s a look at what you get for five hundred bucks.
