The HP Chromebook x2 is one of only 2 options if you are in the market for a detachable Chromebook right now. Though we have a suspicion that more options will be arriving this year, we don’t know anything as fact right now and sometimes the best option is the one you can purchase right here, right now.

The HP x2 is always a good deal, even at the MSRP of $599. With a great tablet you also get an included keyboard and stylus right in the box and the overall package is just a pleasure to use. The internals are enough for most with a 7th-gen Core m3, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Though I’m not a fan of that small storage space, it can be easily expanded via microSD.

With a screen that matches the Pixelbook step for step and the build quality that gives users a truly premium experience, there’s just a lot to like with the HP Chromebook x2. And with a deal going on at Newegg right now, the price is almost impossible to beat.

For just $405, you can get the HP x2 with the keyboard under warranty for 90 days. That is nearly $200 off the MSRP for a device that most likely has just been opened and returned. According to Newegg, their refurbished units are as follows:

This means the product was tested and repaired as required to meet the standards of the refurbisher, which may or may not be the original manufacturer. Any exceptions to the condition of the item outside the manufacturer’s information should be provided in the listing, up to and including warranty details.

Please note that this device won’t come with the HP Stylus included, but we hunted down a perfect replacement that is verified to work in this Reddit thread by some users and only costs you $22 brand new from Lenovo. All in all this would have you at $427 before taxes and still $172 under the standard asking price for the HP x2. If you don’t plan on using the pen, you can simply opt-out of purchasing the Lenovo pen.

If you are in the market for a great Chrome OS tablet, this is the deal for you. We have no idea how long these will remain in stock, so if you are thinking about it at all, I’d pull the trigger sooner than later!
