If you’re looking for a new Chromebook with a lot of desktop real estate, Amazon may have just the deal for you. The Acer Chromebook 15 has seen many variations and quite a few refreshes, but few rock the horsepower of the CB5-571 equipped with 4GB ram and the 5th generation Intel Core i3 processor.
Combined with a full HD 15.6″ display, the Acer 15 makes for a perfect at-home laptop. I personally worked from the Celeron version of this Chromebook for a few months this year and found very few tasks it couldn’t handle. The Core i3 model is known to get Octane scores over 20,000. If you’re not familiar with these benchmarks, trust us when we say it will more than exceed the average user’s needs.
Another great feature of the Acer 15 is the set of deck-mounted, upward facing speakers. It’s what made me fall in love with the device from the get-go. They have a rich, unhindered sound which is very rare for a laptop computer. The only drawback for me was the weight/size. I’m almost always on the go with my Chromebook and moving to a 14″ machine was a night and day difference. But, if you like a large desktop, great sound and great performance, this is the machine for you.
Here’s a highlight of some the Acer’s key specs:
- 5th Generation Intel Core i3-5005U Processor (2.0GHz, 3MB L3 cache)
