It seems Google is intent on getting more Chromecast users renting movies from the Play Store. Just last month we made readers aware of a $.99 rental opportunity, and it looks like that deal is getting extended once again.
This time around, the deal is similar but last longer. July 31st is the cutoff date on this particular deal, so you don’t exactly need to rush and rent a movie tonight. Just know that once you redeem the deal, the rental is only good through August 31st.
You can head over here for terms and conditions, but the deal is quite simple to snag. Head to Play Movies, select your title, click rent, and you should see the discount before checkout.
It seems that this discount is similar to last time around in that not every Google account is eligible. We’re unsure what is driving that decision, but my personal account didn’t have availability. My work Gmail accounts, however, all have the deal available. Your mileage may vary.
