The list of Chrome devices with official support for Android Apps has just been updated by the Chromium developers. It seems our prediction of a snowball effect of the Play Store roll out may be coming to fruition as 34 Chromebooks are now listed to support Android in either the Stable or Beta Channel of Chrome OS.
If you have been waiting for an update, you can check out the official developer’s list at the link below.
Chrome Devices With Android Apps
Keep in mind, this is just the developer’s list and it has been a bit behind what we have been seeing in the wild. I will update the Chrome Unboxed list in the morning to reflect the devices we know have Play Store access.
If your Chromebook has Android Apps and you don’t see it on the list drop us a line or comment below.Tell us your device, channel and Chrome OS/Android version. We will do our best to keep the list as up-to-date as possible.
With the pending plausibility of an October Google event and the release of Chromebook Eve, I would anticipate this list continuing its rapid expansion over the month of September.
Exciting time in the world of Chrome OS.
